In March, Jesuit went 11-1-1 and undefeated in March District play. During the span of these games, the Jesuit offense scored 71 runs and averaged 10 runs a game. On the defensive side of the ball, Jesuit has only allowed 13 runs and an average of 1.8 runs per game.
Battling Adversity in Frisco
Jesuit started March by going 2-1-1 in the Frisco Tournament, which deemed to be their toughest stretch in March. Alex Barr ’26 led Jesuit in this tournament in RBIs with three. Max Reichstadt ’26 and Charlie Wilson ’26 trailed behind him with two for each. The Jesuit defense helped in the battle as well, allowing just five runs in the last three games with the help of Jacob Martinez ’26, James Jorgensen ’26, JP Malone ’27,and Griffin Civello ’27.
Picking Up Steam During Districts
After the Frisco Tournament, Jesuit went a perfect 7-0 in District in March. Jesuit also won by the Mercy Rule three times, demonstrating their dominance in their District games.
Irving
Jesuit clicked early in Districts, earning two of three of their mercy rules vs. Irving. Both games ended in four innings with Jesuit winning game one 22-0 and game two 13-0. Sebastian Lasa ’26 made a statement in Jesuit’s District opener, throwing a no-hitter with 10 strikeouts and only two walks. Jacob Martinez and Hudson Voss ’28 also pitched a combined perfect game in the following game at home. Nate Iannariello ’28, Brooks Kowal ’26, Braxton Barber ’26, and Alex Barr led the explosive offense with three RBIs in the series vs. Irving. Barber and Kowal also hit one home run each in the series vs Irving.

J.J. Pearce
Jesuit played J.J. Pearce, which was a more challenging opponent, but they still ended up getting swept as well with game one being 3-2 and game two being 6-2. James Jorgensen pitched a career-high 14 strikeouts while only allowing one earned run and two hits. Jacob Martinez also only allowed a single run in the home game vs. J.J. Pearce and had four strikeouts in six innings. Nate Iannariello continued his hot streak by driving in three runners in the series vs. J.J. Pearce.
Lake Highlands
It was against Lake Highlands that Jesuit earned their third win through mercy rule of 14-1 as well as a home win of 6-4. Sebastian Lasa continued his undefeated streak, earning his fourth win by only allowing two runs and striking out five in game one while James Jorgensen threw a complete game, only allowing one run, three hits, and striking out 12. Charlie Wilson accumulated six RBIs in one game, giving him the lead in RBIs in the series, with Roman Derichsweiler ’27 trailing behind with four in the series.

Cementing Dominance in Non-District Play
In March, Jesuit only played one non-District game vs. Burleson Centennial, in which they won 14-1. Cooper Patton ’27 started and earned the win for Jesuit, only allowing one run on four hits and three strikeouts in three innings. Brooks Kowal, Jack Lattanzio ’28, and Levi Secker ’27 combined went four innings and only allowed three hits and zero runs. Nate Iannariello had a great game for Jesuit, achieving four RBIs on two hits and a home run. Davis Montgomery ’27 also had a fantastic game, going 4-4 and earning three RBIs on the day.
Conclusion
Jesuit has had a very strong March, using their elite offense and pitching staff to gain dominant victories. As they look towards April, they will be looking at staying undefeated in District as well as making a run in the Playoffs.
