Sebastian Suwanda ’26 was able to take first in this event, winning with a time of 1:49.52. In second was Coppell’s Idin Feizollahi, and less than a second behind him was JP McCosker ’27 clocking in at a 1:58.66. Rounding off the Rangers were Noah Ruhl ’28 and Peter Hasik, finishing at times of 1:59.32 and 2:02.70, respectively.

50 Free

Out of the top eight spots in this event, the Rangers were able to take all but fifth place. Sam Kennington touched in first with a time of 21.87, and in second was Italian exchange student Riccardo Carotenuto, coming in at a 22.69. Luke Lary took third right behind him at a 22.74, and in fourth was Porter Pope with a 23.71. Out of the other Rangers entered in this event, several of them were able to achieve new personal best times. For example, Lucas Coloso ’28 was able to shave off an immense amount of time from a 26.36 to a 25.60, Bobby Blum ’29 dropped his time from a 27.04 to a 26.85, and Diego Sepulveda ’28 dropped a full three seconds from a 30.61 to a 27.61. Along with these three Rangers were many others who had phenomenal time drops.

100 Back

This event featured a 1-2 showoff against the Rangers’ Jonah Ruhl and Coppell’s Gabe Campos. In first was Ruhl, clocking in at a 53.61, and in second was Campos with a 56.07. For the remainder of the Rangers, Peter Hasik finished in third with a 1:01.83, George Weaver finished in fifth with a 1:05.41, and Michael Tobin finished in sixth with a 1:05.74.

100 Breast

The Rangers were able to sweep the podium in this event. Finishing first was Grant Wilton with a time of 1:05.67, and in a close race for second and third, Michael Sanmiguel and Michael Zhang were able to out-touch a Coppell swimmer, finishing with times of 1:10.60 and 1:11.20, respectively. Rounding out the Rangers was Michael Schwabe, clocking in at a 1:14.49 in sixth.

400 Free Relay

Yet again, the Rangers dominated this event, taking the top two spots. The “A” relay of Sam Kennington, Sebastian Suwanda, Jonah Ruhl, and Luke Lary finished in first by a long-shot, clocking in at a 3:21.93. In second was the “B” relay (Charlie Plummer ’28, Riccardo Carotenuto, Peter Hasik, JP McCosker) with a time of 3:38.02, and unofficially in third was the “C” relay (Noah Ruhl, Ian Reichert ’29, Corbin Turner ’29, Grant Wilton), finishing at a 3:47.03. Because of Jesuit’s entry placements, Coppell would take the bronze medal in this event over Jesuit’s “C” relay. The reason for this is because the “C” relay was entered into the meet as an “exhibition” swim that would not be counted towards the total meet score.

Looking Ahead

Kicking off the month of November, the Rangers went head-to-head with each other in the Annual Red vs. Blue Intrasquad on Tuesday, November 4 at the Gull (which will be covered in a different article). Soon after, the Rangers will take on St. Mark’s on November 13, potentially being one of the most competitive meets on the Rangers’ schedule this year. Following this meet is the North Zone TISCA Invitational (November 21-22), which serves as the Rangers’ mid-season Prelims/Finals Invite and a chance to face many of their 6A rivals in preparation for the postseason.
