Jesuit Dominates MacArthur in a Second Blow Out Win at Joy and Ralph Ellis Stadium

On Thursday, October 16th, the Jesuit rangers returned to Irving earning a second huge district win against the Cardinals, winning 42-7.

Offense

The offense made Football look easy this game, blowing by the Cardinal’s defense and putting up some impressive numbers. Beck Berry ’26 and J.P. Livingstone ’28 combined for 206 passing yards and 3 touchdowns, Berry with 140 yards and 2 touchdowns and J.P. with 66 yards and a touchdown. The star of the night, Cade Kirby ’26, had 88 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns, Shane Parker’26 also had a good night with 85 receiving yards to his name. Ty Daboub’27 led in rushing yards, with only 37. The offense made sure to take advantage of MacArthur’s weak pass coverage, making for very pass heavy game.

Defense

The offense weren’t the only ones having a good time, the defense played loose and fast, only letting up one score to the Cardinals. Lots of exciting plays that night, Inside Backer Jackson Gair ’27 with not one, but two forced fumbles with the recovery on one with the other being recovered by D-lineman Tanner Krug ’26 for a couple yards. Defensive weapon Outside Linebacker Cole Wombacher ’26 not only had a pick-six but led in tackles as well with 6 solo and 1 assist. Following him, D-lineman Parker Sherman’26 with 6 and Inside Linebacker Gabriel James’26 with 5Other key players who had 4 tackles respectively, are D-lineman Cole Johnson’27, Outside Backer Simon McGoldrick’27, and Safety Cabe Weissmueller’26, who had many hard hits.

Coming off of a loss to Lake Highlands, this was a good victory for the Rangers to bounce back and regain their footing for a big game this Friday, October 19th. Make sure to be at Ranger stadium this Friday to watch the Rangers take on Richardson. Good luck Rangers!
