The Best Fast-Food Burgers

-

One of the most basic fast-food items is the burger. Although there are plenty of other items available at fast-food restaurants from fries to shakes, this list is based on the establishment’s burgers.

4. Dairy Queen

A restaurant that most people probably were not expecting is Dairy Queen. I never really thought about DQ being the best spot for anything besides ice cream, but when my brother introduced me to their Jalitos Ranch Burger, that all changed. It consists of a patty topped with Pepper Jack cheese and fried jalapeños. What really makes this burger pop is the fried jalapeños that give it a nice kick but also a great texture. The only issue I have with Dairy Queen’s burgers are their buns which have a poor quality.

Score: 7.5/10

Suggested Item: Jalitos Ranch Burger

3. In-N-Out

Even though they have the some of the worst fries I have ever had in my life, In-N-Out’s burgers do not disappoint. The patties have a great quality, their buns are nicely toasted, the vegetables taste nice and fresh, and their signature spread they put on their burgers adds a nice flavor to them. Although their patties are a little slim, they get the job done.

2. Whataburger

Similarly to In-N-Out, Whataburger is also a regional fast-food restaurant found in Texas and other areas in the U.S. However, their burgers differ in some ways. The burgers at Whataburger consist of flavorful patties which can come on either buns or Texas Toast. There are many great choices for what to get on your burger at Whataburger, but their new limited-time Bacon Blaze Jalapeño Double burger is excellent. It comes with jalapeños, bacon, and their Blaze sauce. If you’re looking for the spiciest burger, this may not be it, but there’s just so much flavor packed in that you will not disappointed.

Score: 8.5/10

Suggested Item: Bacon Blaze Jalapeño Double

1. Wendy’s

My pick for #1 might get me a lot of hate, but I can explain. Wendy’s patties are thick and flavorful and when you pair them with their buns and toppings, they make for an excellent burger. If you are looking for something to try at Wendy’s, I highly recommend their pretzel bun Baconator. It’s their juicy patties topped with cheese and bacon placed on a fluffy pretzel bun. It sounds great and tastes even better. The bacon and beef patty come together amazingly and when you add on everything else plus the pretzel bun, it makes for the best fast-food burger.

Score: 9/10

Suggested Item: Pretzel Bun Baconator

These burgers are all great and I would be satisfied with any of them, but Wendy’s pretzel bun Baconator came out on top thanks to its amazing flavor. Again, all of these rankings are based on the fast-food restaurant’s burger. If you are wondering why something was not on the list, it’s either because I’ve never tried/heard of it, or I did not believe it was a high enough quality to be on this list. If you have any differing opinions or thoughts on my picks, please share them!
