On October 18, the swimming and diving team took on regional rivals, the Coppell Cowboys, at home. The rangers were near perfect, winning all but one event, and left with a dominant win of 136-49. This is the first UIL dual meet the Rangers have faced, and the team was not fazed. This advances their record to 2-0 this season, continuing their undefeated streak from last year.

50 Free
- All entering with times not even half of a second apart, Jesuit juniors Sam Kennington and Luke Lary clashed with Coppell sophomore Abhinav Agnihotri. When all hands had hit the wall, Lary was 3rd with a 22.51, Agnihotri was 2nd with a 22.30, and Kennington had won with a blazing 21.70. This was a best time and especially impressive, considering he had just returned from water polo season.

1 Meter Diving
- Even with no competition, the diving team’s 1-2-3-4 was nothing to scoff at. Both freshman Koby Broad(129.55) and senior William Blosser(112.50) scored well over 100 points each and freshmen Mateo Foramiglio and Kobus Brewton rounded out the scoring with 80.05 and 78.20 respectively.

4 x 50 Free Relay
- In a spectacular show of pure speed, the relay consisting of Lary, Kennington, sophomore Jonah Ruhl and junior Sebastian Suwanda scraped by Coppell to take the win. This wasn’t just a victory, however; the relay set a new pool record with their time of 1:29.35. This breeds a lot of expectation for the end of the season as these are the remaining state qualifiers from last season and a relay lineup like this could not just make a case for state qualification but maybe a regional win.

100 Breast
- In the last individual event, the rangers managed to get the final of many 1-2-3 finishes that night. Lead by senior Oliver Miller in 1st, sophomores Grant Wilton and Michael Sanmiguel rounded out the podium. There were actually two close races in this event as Miller(1:06.34) out-touched Wilton(1:06.93) for the win and Sanmiguel slid into the third place slot with a 1:14.09, just barely beating out Coppell’s Albert Chen(1:14.19) by 0.1 seconds.
Swimmer of the Meet
Sophomore standout Jonah Ruhl was the definite swimmer of the meet. On his path to winning all four of his races, Ruhl not only managed to anchor the 400 free relay to victory with a 48:46 split and win the 100 back with a time that almost broke the pool record by going 54.19, but also put in the fastest split of 21.66 in the record breaking 200 free relay.

Looking Ahead
On Oct 22, the rangers split up the teams as Jesuit and Ursuline compete in the annual Blue/Red inter-squad meet. More importantly, on Nov 7, the Rangers take on bitter cross town rivals Highland Park. While no longer a district matchup, the team is surely fired up to compete for another dual meet win against the HP Scots and to uphold the undefeated record.
