On October 24th, Jesuit Swimming and Diving came out with a dominant showing against Flower Mound 301-231. Jesuit shined during the event, picking up wins in seven of the twelve events. With this win, Jesuit remains undefeated at 3-0, having previously beaten Coppel and Bishop Lynch.

Notable Events
200 Medley Relay- The 200 Medley Relay was once again an entertaining one to watch. The relay improved from their previous time of 1:39.93 set against Coppel to a 1:38.85. Sam Kennington ’26 split a 21.91 out touching Flower Mound’s Jack Laclair for the win.
1 Meter Diving- Jesuit went 1-2-3 in this event, picking up crucial points. Trey Smith ’24 (150.05) would take the win with Jett Pruitt ’27 (126.85) taking second. Wills Blosser ’26 (89.65) would outscore the lone Flower Mound diver by 3/4 of a point to take third place.
500 Freestyle- Jesuit would collect a vast treasure trove of points in this event due to Flower Mound not opting to enter any of their swimmers. William Savarese ’24 picked up the win with a time of 4:43.35. Sebastian Suwanda ’26 (5:04.19) and JP McCosker ’27 (5:31.02) finished 2nd and 3rd, respectively. Freshmen Michael Tobin would round out Jesuit’s finishers with a time of 5:34.64.
200 Individual Medley (I.M.)- Even though Jesuit did not win this event, there were still incredible swims by two Freshmen. Jonah Ruhl ’27 and Drew Shippey ’27 finished 2nd and 4th, respectively. Jonah Ruhl, recording a time of 1:59.14, nearly beat Flower Mound’s Aubrey Jaya who went a 1:58.21. Ruhl showed that he could compete with the best in the region. Drew Shippey (2:10.64) dopped a third of a second from his best time of 2:10.92. Both these freshmen are sure to have an incredible season.
Swimmer of the Meet
The swimmer of the meet goes to William Savarese ’24. Savarese had two wins in the 200 Free and 500 Free, going 1:40.67 and 4:43.35, respectively. He also provided crucial relays legs. Savarese split a 26.56 breastroke leg, out splitting Flower Mound breatstroker. Along with his crucial 200 Medley leg, he also anchored a 400 Freestyle Relay that won the event by nearly 10 seconds.
Looking Ahead
The Rangers have a packed November coming up. It starts with another road trip to district rival Highland Park on November 11th. Then Jesuit is back at the Westside Aquatic Center for the annual North Zone TISCA on November 17th (Prelims) and November 18th (Finals). After TISCA, Jesuit returns the Gull to host the Greenhill Hornets on November 28th. To close out the year, Jesuit Swimming and Diving welcomes back former swimmers for their 1st Annual Alumni Meet.
