Well, it is set. The two Super Bowl teams will be the Philadelphia Eagles vs. the Kanas City Chiefs. For someone like me, it hurts to see that the Eagles could have a shot at winning the Super Bowl, much to the pleasure of Mr. Brndjar. In case you missed the two conference championship games, here is a recap!

Eagles vs. 49ers

This is the 49ers’ second year in a row. The 49ers have made the conference championship, but unlike the last time, this game could not have gone worse for the 49ers for this game. The 49ers got crushed 31-7 by the Eagles. Both these star defense play and DPOY, Nick Bosa, got hurt early in the game, and their QB, Brock Purdy, was injured early in the game with a torn UCL in his elbow. Their QB was fourth-string Josh Johnson, who unlike Brock Purdy, did not ball out.

Josh Johnson during pass was only 73 yards, on 9-13 (53.9%) accuracy, and with no touchdowns but no interceptions. He had a terrible QBR of 14.7 to end the game. The receiving game was not much better, either. The top receiver was Deebo Samuel, with only 33 yards on three receptions. Their running game was better, with Christian McCaffrey having 84 yards on 15 carries and the only touchdown. He would average 5.6 yards during the game, which is solid. The Eagle’s offense was not much better. Jalen Hurts only passed for 131 yards on 15-25 (64.4%) accuracy, which is another mediocre performance for the QB. Jalen would not pass for any touchdowns, but he would record a 1-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. His top receiver was Devonta Smith, with only 36 yards, on two receptions and no touchdowns. Their top running back was Kenneth Gainwell, with only 48 yards on 14 carries, averaging 3.4, and again no touchdowns. Miles Sanders had two rushing touchdowns, and third-string running back Boston Scott capped it off withone touchdown.

For the 49ers, this is a painful loss to end their season. But the future looks very bright for many, with two promising young talents, Brock Purdy and Trey Lance, as their QB. It will be interesting to see who will be the next QB for the 49ers and how far they can take the team. With their talented roster, they will surely be a contender next year for the championship. As for the Eagles, they move on to the Super Bowl. Suppose you ask me, with their highly talented roster and, most importantly, the defense. In that case, they have the best chance of winning the championship. But it is important to note that the Eagles have not faced an offense as good as the Chiefs, nor a QB like Patrick Mahomes.

Chiefs vs. Bengals

Definitely was the more exciting game out of the two, and it saw the Chiefs move to pass for the Bengals 23-20 on a game-winning field goal. Both teams played hard during the game, and also both offenses were on fire.

 Patrick Mahomes would pass for 326 yards on 29-43 (67.4%) accuracy during the game. He would also pass for two touchdowns during the game. His top receiver was Marquez Valdes-Scantling, with 116 yards on six receptions averaging 19.3 yards a game, and had one touchdown during the game. Their top running back was Isiah Pacheco, who rushed for 26 yards on ten carries, averaging 2.3 yards a game, which could be better. Joe Burrow had a pretty up-and-down game on the Bengal’s side of the ball. On the up end, he did have 270 yards of passing on 26-41 (63.4%) accuracy and had a touchdown. But he would also throw two picks during the game and not be able to lead them on a game-winning drive. His top receiver during the game was Tee Higgins, with 83 yards on six receptions, averaging 13.8 yards, and had one touchdown. The top running back for the match was Joe Burrow, with 30 yards on four carries.

For the Bengals, this is another brutal loss and another missed opportunity for them this off-season. It is hard to tell if they will ever win the Super Bowl, with how many great teams are in the AFC, and upcoming teams like the Jaguars and Chargers will make things even harder. The Chiefs make the Super Bowl for the third time under Patrick Mahomes, but their opponent is challenging. But they will always have a chance of winning and making the Chiefs a true NFL dynasty.
