BREAKING: Jack Barton Wins 2020 Tom Wunderlick Award

-

Student-athlete. Jesuit Dallas is a school where the word student-athlete means something different. Outstanding education. Sublime sports. Challenging yourself on and off the field. Jesuit expects and harnesses the best out of its student-athletes, which is what makes it stand out.

The Tom Wunderlick Award best exemplifies this idea. It is given to a student who has excellently managed to succeed academically and athletically. Tom Wunderlick ‘46, the first president of the Alumni Association, has had many sons and grandson attend Jesuit. This year’s winner is Jack Barton.

Jack Barton has been a starting defensive back for the Jesuit Dallas varsity football team for three years. A senior captain, Barton also serves as the Sports Editor for our newspaper, where he writes everything from hockey to soccer. Managing 20 articles as a senior editor, he will be attending Vanderbilt University next year for football.

Congratulations to Jack Barton! The Roundup will miss you!

And as always, stay tuned to The Roundup for senior award announcements!
