Jesuit Freshman Teams Trounce Euless Trinity

-

Absolute destruction. Have I got your attention? Well good, because the words “absolute destruction” perfectly describe the result of the Jesuit Freshman football team’s games against Euless Trinity on Wednesday the 14th.

With the Jesuit Blue team cleaning house with a score of 48-2, and the Gold team pulling a win of 41- 0, both teams displayed excellent football.

The Blue team mostly focused on “…putting up points up early, and shutting down Lake Travis’s run game,” according to Freshman Football Coach Wunderlick. “I’m very satisfied with how the boys played, they ran well, passed well, and worked together as a team.” Not only coach Wunderlick was satisfied with the team’s play, but also the players as well. Christian Alako 20’ commented, “ We played really well, and I think our putting up 6 touchdowns showed that. I just hope we can keep playing this great, we’re on a solid win streak right now.” It is safe to say that we can continue to see great things from our own Jesuit Freshman Blue team. Keep it up boys!

Similarly, the Jesuit Freshman Gold team has been dominating on all fronts. With a commanding 42-0 win over Plano East the week before, then following up with a 41-0 win over Euless Trinity, it is evident that the Gold team’s defense is unstoppable. “Our focus for the Gold team has been defense, and it has been going well. We have been shutting down other team’s run games, and it allows our offense more time to put up points.” In agreement, Chase Walker said, “ We worked and communicated as a team, and that allowed us to shut them down.” Defense wins Championships, and so far, Jesuit’s Freshman Gold team has been proving this to be true.

Another pair of impressive wins continuous to reinforce the Freshman Football team’s playing ability. No doubt the whole Jesuit community will continue to look at the Freshman as they continue to dominate on the field. Keep up the good work!
