The Jesuit JV Gold basketball team has continued its dominant district play extending their district record to 9-0, and their win streak to 14 games.

The Rangers faced their toughest competition of the season so far in the Skyline Raiders, getting a come from behind win. It was not so smooth sailing for the Rangers in this one, going down 17 points in the second quarter. Head Coach Tim Murphy spoke about the team’s performance saying, “We went down early, but just kept chipping away at the lead. The mentality of our team is that were always in the game, and I believe the team showed a lot of valiance in their effort to regain the lead.” The Rangers took their first lead in the game with 1:30 left on the clock, and held onto to it winning 57-56.

After the great win over Skyline, the Rangers continued their domination with a 71-36 win over the Irving Tigers. Forward Chase Kirkland 16′ told me, “It was our second time to play them, so we knew what they would try to do offensively and defensively, and we were just well prepared for the game.”

The Rangers extended their district record to 9-0, with a 75-37 win over the Nimitz Vikings. Guard Mark Ready 17′ said, “We got off to a quick start, and our lead just kept growing.”
