Jesuit Runs over Richardson High on Their Homecoming Night

-

Senior RB David Kaplan ran for two touchdowns and Senior QB Mike Savage had 272 total yards as Jesuit scored 24 unanswered points in the second and third quarters to beat Richardson 31-16. Junior RB Christian Franz had 89 yards rushing on 13 attempts as Jesuit had more rushing yards, 255 yards on 42 carries, than passing yards, 202 yards on 30 attempts. Richardson kept the game interesting in the fourth quarter, scoring 13 points to keep the game within two touchdowns. Senior QB Torrance Carr ran 16 times for 102 yards and a touchdown but could not jump start an offense that committed nine penalties for 80 yards. “We just played balanced football,” says Senior CB Harry Corbin. “We didn’t let them break away for any big plays.” Next Friday, Jesuit will be playing Lake Highlands on Jesuit’s homecoming night. This will be Jesuit’s first true home game of the season with the team playing in the newly opened home stadium.
