Upperclassman Homecoming!

Spencer Broussard ’24 said, “I had a great time, loved the music, the decorations, and the gambling”

One of the most anticipated fall events occurred Saturday night at Jesuit Dallas! The night of October 22nd marked the yearly celebration of Homecoming for upperclassmen!

The Dance

Unlike last year’s Homecoming, the dance returned to the Terry Center instead of Ranger Stadium. Upon entering the party, the students were greeted with spooky décor. The Hall of Honors and the Terry Center were covered in spider webs and skeletons. Then, after passing the Hall of Honors, you reached the cafeteria, set up with various tables and card games. Personally, I enjoyed the casino and watching my friends lose all of their monopoly money in various terrible bets. However, what is a dance without a dance floor? The Terry Center served as the perfect area for the mosh pit, with students jumping up and down to various pop anthems.

Moreover, a hilarious tradition returned to Homecoming this year. The seniors dressed in Halloween costumes. This led to wild character combinations like Scarface’s, Tony Montana losing his monopoly money while Bruce Wayne, and Shaggy from Scooby Doo busted down moves on the dance floor.

Student’s Opinions

Dave Alcala-Fredrick ’23 said, “I thought it was fun and really nice to have a normal homecoming again”

Allen Lesher ’24 said, “I like spending time with my friends from both Jesuit and Ursuline and I feel like the dance was alright, but has room for some improvement.”

Daniel Lucido ’24 said, “It was fun.”

Ryan Bomersbach ’24, a guest from Ursuline said, “I’m really happy I got to see all the friends I haven’t seen much this year. I feel like we all got busier as upperclassmen and it was really fun to have a night with friends, and I loved seeing all the seniors in costumes!

Overall, I think the dance was a great success and provided the students with a fabulous time!
