When you think of a teacher, you may think of a caring and friendly figure, someone who fosters growth in all aspects of life. However, what you may not think of is a person who spent over a decade in the circus business.
Mrs. Applegate, a new chemistry and environmental science teacher at Jesuit, has quite a diverse background, including growing up in Indiana, teaching in Kansas, and participating in the local amateur circus for twelve years.
Specializing in the high-wire and unicycle, Mrs. Applegate was quite the performer, walking 22.5 feet about the ground at one point (with a net, of course).
If you see Mrs. Applegate around Jesuit, be sure to say hello and ask for a unicycle demonstration.
