200 Medley Relay- Jesuit was seeded 14th in this event, being the fourth-seeded call-up time. They improved, moving up to thirteenth. In the preliminaries, they finished with a time of 1:35.76. They would improve on that time in the finals, finishing with a time of 1:35.12. In the finals, freshman Jonah Ruhl led off, splitting a 24.65. William Savarese followed with a breaststroke split of 25.47. Sophomore Luke Lary followed Savarese, splitting a 22.93 on the fly. Sophomore Sam Kennington anchored the 200 Medley Relay, splitting a 22.07.

“We finished 16th place and qualified for finals in all 4 of our events. The biggest challenge was that our Senior All-American William Savarese was sick while he was racing the top talent in 6A. He made it through day 1 but was hurting big time. Day 2 he felt a little better but still was a warrior for the team both individually (securing 2 3rd place finishes) and was money both the relays. Special kudos to relay only swimmers for being part of our team record 200 medley relay (Ruhl, Savarese, Lary, Kennington) and our team record 400 free relay (Ruhl, Lary, Suwanda, Savarese).” – Head coach doug moyse

200 Individual Medley- William Savarese captured his first of two bronze medals in this event. He finished the preliminaries at a 1:50.27, coming into the finals seeded fifth. In the finals, he improved not only from his preliminaries time but from his seed time, touching at a 1:47.52

500 Freestyle- Savarese took his second bronze of the meet, finishing behind Round Rock’s Buky Gettys and Keller’s Cooper Lucas. Finishing with a time of 4:21.44, he broke his own school record, which was 4:22.59.

400 Freestyle Relay- The Rangers finished 12th in this event, finishing with a time of 3:06.54. In the finals. Freshman Jonah Ruhl led off, splitting a 46.74. Sophomores Luke Lary and Sebastian Suwanda followed, splitting a 46.72 and 48.17, respectively. In his final swim for the Blue & Gold, senior William Savarese split a 44.91.
