Nguyen helped the Rangers capture first place at the season-opening Bishop Lynch Knights of Columbus Invitational on Saturday. A member of two winning relay teams, Nguyen additionally earned first place in the 100 breast with a 1:06.29, closing out the 200 I.M. in 2:14.23 to finish second.
