The Roundup is the Jesuit Dallas Student Voice and Newspaper since 1942. Learn about us.

There are certain events that jumpstart a young newspaper in its quest for prominence, events that push a newspaper like a father pushes his son as he learns to ride a bicycle. It is a push that, if exploited, starts the newspaper, as it starts the boy, on a forward path to development and achievement, never looking back on...
From April 6 to 10, 2011, students and faculty from Jesuit and three doctors and one social worker went to Guatemala to help the sick of the country. They worked with an organization called The Vamos Mayor in two clinics, one in Panajachel and one in Nahualá. The Novice Debate Team (the name signifies only that they are first year debaters) consists of Freshmen James Abbott, Jackson Pyke, and Jeff Melsheimer and Sophomores Davis Bittner, Grant VanKirk, Justin Kang, Ryan Tan, and Shane McGoldrick. Freshman Justin Rubenstein and Junior Harrison Ainsworth...

In thrilling fashion, the storied Jesuit Debate program added yet another trophy to its mantle Saturday. On Saturday, March 12, Jesuit seniors Ryan Gorman and Sullivan McCormick swept the State Debate Championship to win an unprecedented second straight state title. In doing so, the tandem became only the third team in Texas Forensic Association history to lock up back-to-back...

This year’s challenge involves the robots picking up inflated tubes in the shapes of triangles, circles, and squares and placing them on horizontal pegs on a wall. The bonus challenge was to make a mini-robot (that’s exactly what it sounds like) race other minibots to climb a 9-foot pole. Patrick Barone...
