JV Gold and Blue Golf Tournament on Oct. 29th

-

The Jesuit JV Golf Team has been at it again. On October 29th, JV Golf traveled to Flower Mound to play in their 6th tournament of the season. The JV Teams of Gold and Blue competed in the tournament against several other DFW-area teams at Lake Park Golf Club.

The JV Gold team of Griffin Till ’18 (68), CJ Moucka ’17 (71), Marcus Ramirez ’18 (71), Andrew Buckley ’18 (75), and Jake O’Gara ’18 (78) shot a total team score of 285 to win 1st in the tournament. The JV Blue team of Michael Bradley ’18 (69), Anthony Valdes ’18 (75), Luke Harrison ’18 (78), and Cameron ’16 Johnson (80) also shot an incredible combined score of 302 to finish second behind JV Gold.

Coach Marino exclaimed that “both teams played great! This tournament had the lowest scores we’ve ever had in a JV tournament!”

The JV Gold team broke the previous JV Golf record, set in 2012 at Lake Park. The previous record was 293, meaning JV Gold broke the record by an impressive 7 points! The Gold team also received praise for the lowest 18-hole team score.

Individual awards were given to Griffin Till of JV Gold and Michael Bradley of the JV Blue team for their outstanding performances. Till won the individual title, with Bradley finishing second.

Till and Bradley received another award, but this one wasn’t in the form of a medal. They broke the previous JV individual score of 70 set by Chase Fetrow back in 2012, also at Lake Park.

Though the season is now over, Marino emphasized that she was “really proud of both teams and very excited about our JV spring season!”
