On Halloween night, the Jesuit Rangers went on the road and rolled through Berkner, winning the game 45-28. Additionally, this win ensured them a spot in the Playoffs, playing another home football game at their very own Ranger Stadium in a couple weeks.
Offense
The Jesuit offense was able to move the ball up and down the field against the Rams’ defense, totaling 390 yards of offense. Fueled by a dominant performance from the offensive line, the Rangers ran for a season high 286 rushing yards, including 182 yards, one touchdown from Shane Parker ’26, and a total of 102 yards and three touchdowns from Ty Daboub ’27. Daboub was complemented by a passing attack led by Beck Berry ’26, who also tossed for 108 yards and one touchdown that night. Senior receivers Cade Kirby ’26 and Harlan Beucler ’26 hauled in 48 and 46 yards, respectively, with Beucler bringing in the opening touchdown as well. Overall, the offense executed all night and turned in one of their best performances all year.

Defense
The Jesuit defense was equally as dominant against Berkner, holding the Rams to 279 yards of offense and only 83 yards throughout the night. The linebacker core of Simon McGoldrick ’27, Joe Norman ’26, Gabriel James ’26 and Jackson Gair ’27 led the way, combining for 23 total tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, and two sacks. The defensive line was chasing after the quarterback all game, with Patrick Sherman ’26, Tanner Krug ’26, and Cole Johnson ’27 all notching a sack each. The defensive backs were active throughout the game, including Mack Murphy ’27 notching five tackles and Cabe Weissmueller ’26 having three tackles. Kicker Cooper McGough ’26 was also great, making all six extra point attempts and hitting a field goal from 43 yards out, a season long for him.

Looking Ahead
After a heartbreaking loss to Richardson the week before, Jesuit bounced back strong with a huge District win. The Jesuit Rangers will finish out the Regular Season this Friday on the road against Irving Nimitz. The Rangers will then open up at home for the Playoffs as they look to begin hopefully a deep Playoff run.
