RimFire Optic Rifle: Miles Trujillo Does it Again

In the optics rifle event, Senior Miles Trujillo once again proved to be Jesuit’s top gun, delivering a commanding performance to secure 10th place overall in a highly competitive field. Trujillo displayed exceptional consistency and poise under pressure, breaking the 10-second mark in three out of four heats. His sharpest moment came, once again, during the “Go Fast” stage, where he ripped through the course with a blistering 6.7-second run that ranked among the fastest of the day. Senior Santiago Valles also stepped up in a major way, turning in two impressive sub-10-second heats to finish 22nd overall. Both athletes’ strong showings added valuable depth to Jesuit’s lineup and helped cement the team’s reputation for fielding skilled and composed marksmen across multiple events.

Freshmen Make Their Mark

Despite facing stiff competition at their first state-level Scholastic Action Shooting Program (SASP) event, Jesuit’s freshmen competitors showed tremendous promise. Leading the freshman group, Eli Flores turned in a standout performance, finishing 25th overall in Iron Pistol and 39th in Iron Rifle. Eli also recorded an impressive 7.45-second run in the “Go Fast” stage for Iron Pistol, one of the team’s quickest times of the weekend. Other freshmen delivered solid efforts across all disciplines, gaining invaluable experience and laying a strong foundation for the program’s future. With their respectable performances under pressure, the freshman class demonstrated that they are ready to contribute at a high level in the seasons to come.

“Among the freshman, Eli FLores was smokin’ and as fast as some more seasoned Rangers!”
