On September 28, 2023, over 100 Jesuit students and a considerable number of parents and faculty members gathered in Hughes Hall. The purpose of this assembly was to celebrate the Jesuit students’ exemplary performances on the PSAT and AP exams from the 2022-23 year.

I was extremely proud of the accomplishments that were recognized at the Academic Recognition Ceremony. As they have done for many years, Jesuit students outwardly showed their level of intellectual prowess on the PSAT and various AP tests. Being recognized on the national stage with the various awards is something fun and exciting to recognize in that way.” – Dr. Kirby, Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Academic Support

STUDENT & FACULTY THOUGHTS

“I couldn’t be more proud of my fellow Jesuit brothers and their incredible accomplishments.” – Logan Thompson ‘24, Editor-in-Chief

“I think one of the best qualities about Jesuit is that by attending you have the opportunity to intermix with those blessed with amazing intellect. We can all learn from each other and that is a core aspect of how we grow individually – by all growing together.” – Peter Loh ‘24, Viewpoint Editor

“It was an exciting experience. It really showed that hard work and dedication pay off, and that I am part of a community that creates people who want to learn and are committed to make the world a better place.” – Mario Jaar ‘24, Associate Editor

“It was great to receive recognition for the hard work that I put in and to hear about the accomplishments of my Jesuit classmates.” – Grant Cooper ‘24

“The academic ceremony was a great example of achievement of Jesuit education as well as a great recognition of the rigor of high-achieving students.” – Jacob Morales ‘24

“It’s great that Jesuit has such a strong academic community.” – Francisco Almaguer ‘24

“I am honored to be celebrated with my academic peers.” – Daniel Mansur ’24

Because of the high caliber of every Jesuit student, we always have high expectations for our students. Over 1.6 million students around the country will be taking the PSAT this month and we are confident that the Classes of ‘25, ‘26, & ‘27 will do great things for themselves! Many students in each grade level have been working hard in their Ray Dass portal and, with it being digital, everyone should be excited to show off their hard work next week.” – Dr. Kirby
