What was your experience like at Jesuit as a student?
“My experience as a Jesuit student was fantastic. It’s the reason I came back. Intellectually competent was important because I learned how to think not what to think. It was good Cura Personalis, which means the care for the whole person such as the respect for a unique circumstance.”
Where did you go to college and what major?
“I went to four different colleges. I started off at Loyola Chicago with Mr. Lee and then I transferred to Texas Tech. I got some extra side credits from a number of universities. Then, I spent a little under a year in Rome at John Cabot University. I got my degree from Tech where I double majored in criminology and chemistry.
Has Jesuit changed from when you were a student to now?
“It’s changed a little regarding the pandemic and increase in tech resources. But, the important part that I still cared about is still here. The energetic and loving community is still here, which made me return after college.”
Why did you decide to come back to Jesuit and serve in the Alumni Service Corps?
“During my time at Jesuit and college, many people told me that I should be a teacher. At first, I didn’t like this idea. But after deliberating, I thought that this seemed like a good chance to put that to rest once and for all.”
What are your typical duties during the school year?
“I’m very busy all the time. Along with other teachers, I teach SJPP and I think that’s the core of it and day to day sometimes we act as a sub and help with a lot of other stuff.”
Are you involved in any extracurricular activities?
“I am very excited to participate in several extracurriculars. Right now, I’m in the Aviation Club and I’m planning on taking part of the Political Society.
