Throughout the 2026 Class A lacrosse season, Jesuit has faced a challenging schedule, using each game to build consistency and prepare for the postseason. Currently sitting at 8–5, the Rangers have competed against top in-state and out-of-state opponents. The demanding schedule has tested both depth and discipline, helping the team grow more cohesive as the season progressed.

Quick Out the Gates
Jesuit opened the season against strong competition, including a matchup with the nation’s No. 1 team, Culver Academy, where the Rangers fell 7–12. The game showcased Jesuit’s defensive strength and ability to compete in close contests early in the year. Despite the result, the performance set a standard for the level of play the team would carry forward.
The Rangers quickly responded with dominant performances, including an 18–1 win over Rockwall and an 18–2 victory against TMI. In both games, Jesuit controlled the ball and dictated the pace, combining smooth offense with disciplined defensive play. These wins highlighted the team’s ability to execute on both ends of the field when playing at a high level.
Finding their Rhythm
As the season progressed, Jesuit continued to face competitive opponents in tight games. A 5–6 loss to ESD and a 7–8 loss against The Benjamin School reflected the Rangers’ ability to play close against strong teams, with defense playing a key role in limiting opponent possessions and maximizing scoring opportunities. These games emphasized how small details and key moments could determine outcomes.
Jesuit then found its rhythm during a big stretch of the season. The Rangers dominated a 22–3 win over Blue Valley Southwest, followed by a 15–5 victory against Cardinal Newman. On an out-of-state trip to Kansas City, Jesuit added two more wins, defeating Rockhurst 14–4 and Pembroke Hill 19–5. This stretch showed the team’s ability to maintain consistency and perform at a high level across multiple games.
Finishing Strong
Towards the end of the season, Jesuit faced Highland Park, falling 3–8 in a devastating loss. Despite the loss, the Rangers responded with a strong 9–7 win over Brophy, demonstrating resilience and the ability to bounce back in competitive games. The response reflected the team’s focus and determination heading into the final stretch.
Currently at 8–5, Jesuit has continued to rely on its defensive consistency while finding ways to generate offense in key moments. The balance between lockdown defense and disciplined scoring has defined much of the Rangers season so far. This identity has allowed the team to stay competitive in nearly every matchup.

Now, after closing out the regular season with a win, the Rangers turn their focus to the playoffs. Jesuit will face Westlake in the first round at 1 p.m. on May 2 at home, looking to carry their momentum forward. With continued emphasis on sharpening execution and maintaining consistency on both ends of the field, the goal remains clear: be fully prepared and compete for a 2026 State Championship.
