With fast greens and tricky pin placements, the tournament proved to be both a physical and mental challenge, testing the team’s ability to stay composed under pressure. The Rangers showed up to the tournament with a strong lineup consisting of Will Fife ’28, Henry Schulze ’27, Wilson Kidwell ’28, Jack Brown ’29, and Preston Alles ’27.
Despite the demanding setup, Jesuit showed flashes of strong play throughout the round. Freshman Jack Brown delivered a breakout performance, firing an impressive 72 to lead the Rangers and prove he could compete at a high varsity level. Played over two days, the event brought together many of the top teams and players in the region, with challenging course conditions and long rounds testing both the physical and mental endurance of every competitor.
Jesuit was led by senior Jack Clancy ’26, who delivered two consistent rounds of 73-73, providing steady leadership and keeping the Rangers in contention throughout the tournament. Senior Alex Murray ’26 also turned in a strong performance with rounds of 73-77, while senior Spencer Carter ’26 battled through tough conditions to post scores of 76-75.

In the stroke play portion, senior Spencer Carter ’26 led the Rangers with an excellent round of 72, setting the pace for the team and securing a strong position heading into match play. Freshman Jack Brown ’29 followed with a solid 74, while sophomore Jackson Straley ’28 added a 75 to keep Jesuit competitive. Junior Jonah Fahrenbruch ’27 carded a 79, and senior Alex Murray ’26 battled through a tough round to finish with an 81 as the Rangers advanced to the match play stage.
Match play brought intense, head-to-head competition against Walnut Grove. Alex Murray ’26 fought hard but fell 5&3 to Austin Randall, while Spencer Carter ’26 dropped a close match 3&1 to Collin Alstrin. Freshman Jack Brown ’29 delivered a strong performance, finishing all square with Bryan Sargent, and Jonah Fahrenbruch ’27 secured Jesuit’s lone victory with an impressive 4&2 win over Carson James. Jackson Straley ’28 battled to the final hole before narrowly falling 1 down to Joseph Taylor.
