Jesuit Blows Out Nimitz as They Look Towards the Postseason

-

For the last time in the regular season, Jesuit battled against Nimitz at Joy & Ralph Ellis Stadium and dominated right away, winning 48-8 with a suffocating run defense and explosive offense.

Game Summary

It took Jesuit just one minute and four plays to score the first points of the game. Ty Daboub ’27 scored the first touchdown for Jesuit via an 11-yard rushing touchdown to make the score 7-0 early into the first quarter. The scoring would not stop as Jesuit would score two touchdowns in two minutes because of a 73-yard passing touchdown from Beck Berry ’26 to OU commit Harlan Beucler ’26 and a Corson Lindley ’28 46-yard punt return. Jesuit’s last touchdown of the first quarter came from a 29-yard passing touchdown from Berry to Shane Parker ’26. Add all the offensive touchdowns with the run defense, which only held Nimitz to 20 yards all the way up to the 1:38 mark of the first quarter, and you have Jesuit leading 28-0 at half.

Jesuit’s defense would continue to dominate, only allowing 51 yards in the second quarter. Meanwhile, the offense scored one more time through a 40-yard passing touchdown from JP Livingstone ’28 to Max Smith ’27 to make the score 35-0 Jesuit at the half. In the second half, Livingstone connected with Smith once again with a nine-yard passing touchdown. Unfortunately, the shutout would come to a close when Nimitz fumbled the ball and recovered it in the endzone for a touchdown. In response, Livingstone scrambled for a 60-yard rushing touchdown to make the final score 48-8 Jesuit.

Offensive Stats

The offense put up 358 yards compared to Nimitz’s 271 yards of offense. Additionally, Jesuit didn’t turn over the ball once. Beck Berry only threw two passes, but both went for two touchdowns and 102 yards. JP Livingstone went 8 for 10 (80% completion rate), with 135 yards and two touchdowns, and led the rushing game with 56 yards on four attempts (+68 yards and -12 yards). Ty Daboub also scored a touchdown for Jesuit with 22 yards on two attempts. On the receiving side of the offense, Harlan Beucler led the team in receiving yards with 73 yards and a touchdown.
