Advancement Department to Host 4th Annual Thank-A-Donor Day

-

What does it cost to educate a Jesuit student? Well, during the 2025-2026 school year, the total cost per student was $29,140. The tuition for that year was $26,300, leaving a $2,840 gap. This begs a number of questions: How does Jesuit cover that gap? Additionally, how can Jesuit give out $2.9 million in financial aid (2025-2026 school year)? How can Jesuit afford to keep building new buildings? The answer to this is one word: donors.

Because our donors do so much for our community, Jesuits are eternally grateful for their support. Students, you will have an opportunity to show your gratitude during Jesuit’s 4th Annual Thank-A-Donor Day on October 31st. There will be a number of activities in which students are able to express what their Jesuit education means for them.

Thank-A-Donor Day Activities

This Thank-a-donor day will feature a slew of activities. The main activity will be writing thank you notes. Director of Development Mrs. Joelle Abi-Habib, Stewardship Coordinator Mrs. Viviana Stanford, and other members of the Advancement Department will set up a station in the breezeway before school, during lunches, and during community time. Students can stop by and write a thank you note to a donor who has made a gift to Jesuit.

“Thank a Donor Day is meaningful to me because it reminds the community that our Jesuit experience is made possible by the generosity of others within our community. it’s a great reminder that our community thrives because of the kindness of others.” -Luke wilson ’26

As a reward for writing a thank you note, there will be candy for anyone who does. Additionally, students who write a thank you note will be entered in a raffle, with prizes being gift cards to Chick-fil-A and Ranger Connection.

Alumni Phone-A-Thon

The thank you notes that will be written on Thank-A-Donor Day will be sent to donors who make a gift during the Alumni Phone-A-Thon. During this event, Jesuit alums spanning decades will come in to call their brothers, asking them to make a gift to the school. Over forty different classes are represented, and all the money collected goes toward financial aid. Donors range from the Class of 1946 to the most recent Jesuit graduates.
