Jesuit-Ursuline Prom: Party of the Year

-

On the evening of the 12th of April Jesuit and Ursuline hosted the annual upperclassmen prom. This year attendance reached around one thousand, with over one hundred tables.

Prom was an amazing success and an extraordinary celebration thanks to the help of Jesuit’s student council and faculty advisors like Mr Segal, Mrs Bruce, Dr. Knize, and Mr Howard among many others. The event was held at the Dallas World Trade Center, a large venue typically used as a Market Center for vendors and purchasers of primarily whole-sale and retail goods, but instead of featuring artisan goods or high-fashion, the Trade Center welcomed a thousand juniors and seniors.

“The music was great, the food was great, Prom was just a great way for us to finish up the year” – Luke Deshotels ’25

Despite the immense fun of Prom, it is also a bittersweet moment for many of our seniors. It is the last dance and one of the final major events in a Jesuit student’s four years here and every year it’s been a great sendoff and celebration of our student’s efforts and commitment. It has also been a great opportunity to catch up with people you might not see everyday from Jesuit, Ursuline, or other schools all over the metroplex. Students attended from all over Dallas-Fort Worth from a large variety of schools, aided by the trust that the Jesuit administration places in our upperclassmen to bring guests without express permission.

Faculty chaperones noted that student behavior was superb and that Prom was a great time. A special thanks to all the student council members and faculty who worked hard to make Prom such a success.
