The Top 5 Worst NFL Jerseys of all Time

-

Jerseys are like a team’s identity, without them, fans wouldn’t know who to root for. They are essential. And that makes it all the worse when a team screws them up so badly, it makes people’s eyes bleed. Here are the Top 5 worst jerseys in NFL history.

5. Pittsburgh Steelers 2016 “Bumblebee”

Notable Players:

  • Antonio Brown
  • Le’Veon Bell
  • Ben Roethlisberger

What am I looking at? What was the marketing team thinking when they designed this? What’s even worse is the socks are black and yellow lined as well. These jerseys are exactly what they look like. It doesn’t matter how good their team was, this jersey docks them points just because of it. This is an eyesore to look at. Maybe this is what made Antonio Brown go insane. And what’s sad, it’s not even top 3 worst of all time.

4. Green Bay Packers 2011 Throwbacks

Notable Players:
  • Aaron Rodgers
  • Charles Woodson
  • Randall Cobb

Okay, what? This jersey is so bad. The letters are small. The pants are beige, the jersey is navy and yellow, and the helmet is brown? This does not at all represent the Packers, even if it is a throwback jersey. Thank goodness they got rid of that one. Also, the number looks like a pool ball, prove me wrong. Anyway, the 2011 Packers went 15-1 in the regular season, but I’m convince those jersey were why they lost in the Divisional Round. The Packers cursed our eyes when they made these jerseys, so when you are wondering why they haven’t won a Super Bowl since then, there’s your answer.

3. 2015 Jaguars “Gold Bold”

Notable Players:
  • Mercedes Lewis
  • Allen Robinson II
  • Sergio Brown

The more I look at this, the more I want to rip my eyes out. Every time I glance at it, i notice something new, and not in a good way. First of all, why are there brown rectangles around the armpit and the belly button areas. Second, their helmet is half black and half gold. Third, why do the numbers look like an alarm clock? I have no more words for this, this jersey is absolutely horrendous, so thank goodness they got rid of this jersey.

2. Denver Broncos 2009 Throwbacks

  • Brandon Marshall
  • Ty Law

Everything about this jersey is horrendous. The brown pants don’t match with the bright yellow jersey. The yellow jersey itself looks horrible. And the socks. Oh God the socks are horrible. This isn’t a football team, this is a clown convention. They might as well have rebuilt their stadium as a giant tent and have circus animals as their pregame show. Giving away peanuts and juggling the footballs instead of snapping them. That’s what this should have been. But at least if the local circus needed an outfit, they had some available to them. But these aren’t even the worst jerseys, because the worst NFL Jersey of all time goes to…

1. Philadelphia Eagles 2007 Throwbacks

Notable Players:
  • Donovan McNabb
  • Brian Dawkins
  • Reggie Brown

Remember when I said a team’s jersey is their identity? This is what happens when the team is going through an identity crisis. Now, these jerseys aren’t bad… For the Chargers or the Rams. But for the Eagles? These are horrible. The helmet is extremely neon and the powder blue stripe connecting the two powder blue sides between the yellow does not look good. And the jersey itself looks too much like the helmet. And by that I mean it’s completely identical. So that year, the Eagles missed the playoffs, now you know why.

So there it is. The 5 worst NFL Jerseys of all time. Did your team make it? If not, good. But there are plenty of horrible jerseys, so your team is bound to make one soon. I’m looking at you Commanders.
