Why This Year is Finally The Cowboy’s Year

-

It’s time. It’s finally our year. All of those times that I said it before, I was just kidding. We have the best team, the best players, the best offense, the best defense, and the best food at any stadium. It’s okay that we lost our first two preseason games because they were just preseason games and Trevor Lawrence is a generational talent. But in this article, I will silence the haters and prove that it is finally our year.

1. We have a toddler for a running back

Deuce Vaughn is about the average height of a 14 year old girl (Great Bend Tribune)

Our five-foot-five number two running back is one of the many weapons we have that will guarantee we take the Super Bowl home this year. Even though it looks like someone’s kid broke onto the field and even though he was “the shortest player to ever participate in the NFL Combine,” (Fox Sports) Deuce Vaughn will win us the Lombardi trophy. His biggest asset is that Dak can throw him with the football whenever a catch is needed for a first down. His second biggest asset is that he won’t have to find the gap because he can scurry through the lineman’s legs and gain five or more yards on every play.

2. We have Trey Lance and Dak Prescott

Trey Lance cost the 49ers over $90,000 per snap, and about $6.75 million per start (San Francisco Chronicle)

We recently traded a fourth round pick for the quarter back who earned more than Tua Tagovailoa and Justin Fields while taking less than 300 snaps over 4 starts for the 49ers. With that kind of transfer record, what less can you expect than a super-bowl winning team.

3. We have Trevon Diggs

Trevon Diggs has pictures of himself on his comforter because of his blanket coverage (USA Today)

According to scientists, 71% of the world is covered by water. The rest is covered by Trevon Diggs. He has 17 career interceptions over 35 games, which is the highest interception output by any player in 40 years. He is sure to impress this year.

Stay tuned to the Roundup for more Cowboys coverage throughout the season!
