Trevor Lawerence Celebrates his First Playoff Win at Waffle House

-

How do you celebrate your first playoff win as a QB? For some, you hit the club with your team. For others, you celebrate with your family. Maybe you have a party with your friends or go to bed because you are tired. But if you are Trevor Lawerence, you go to Waffle House. After a historic 27-point comeback against the Chargers to win Jaguar’s first playoff game since 2017, Trevor Lawerence, and his wife, Marissa Lawrence, including several other players, went to Waffle House. He would go there at around midnight, and according to a waiter, he would stay there for about an hour, and while there, he would take multiple pictures with staff and other guests. According to a server, she would describe him as “humble and says he complimented her smile.”

Now what we all want to know is what did Trevor eat at Waffle House. Well, according to news reporter Cheyenne Cole, Trevor’s order:

During an interview with Trevor Lawerence, he said, “Sometimes I’ll get the All-Star (Special). It depends on how I’m feeling.” Patrick Mahomes was also asked about his thoughts on how Trevor Lawerence celebrated his first playoff, and he said:

Patrick would also tell the reporter that his first playoff win celebration involved a lot of “Coors Light.” He would end the interview with the reporter by saying he would find a more exciting way to celebrate his playoff wins.

The story does not end there. Because Lawrence’s visit to the Waffle House inspired one man named David Meyer, an owner of the Design Lab, to design the ‘Trevor House t-shirt. It is printed in Waffle House font and on the signature yellow color, Meyer, owner of Design Lab, says his wife came up with the idea. He would say:

“Everybody on the radio was talking about the Waffle House. So my wife says, why don’t you make a shirt, Trevor house, in the waffle house font. So I said, okay I can do that.”

-David Meyer

Trevor Lawerence is the first high-profile athlete or celebrity to visit a waffle house in Jacksonville. One of the more famous people was Jon Gries, the actor best known for portraying ‘Uncle Rico’ in Napoleon Dynamite. He was filming a bit with then Jacksonville QB Gardner Minshew in 2019.

Jacksonville’s next game will be against the number #1 seed Kansas City Chiefs. Trevor Lawerence will not be in Florida to go to a Waffle House. Jacksonville’s game against Kansas City will be an extremely tough. It is doubtful they will be able to win it, but with Trevor, anything is possible.
