Jesuit Dallas Golf Tees Off In October Season

After a successful month of training meticulously and working together, the Jesuit golf team performed wondrously in their numerous tournaments this season.

Junior Varsity – Lewisville Fall Fest

This match was played on October 5, 2021, at Indian Creek Creeks GC.

Jesuit performed excellently at this varsity competition, placing 1st in the competition of 8 teams. Their total score was 317.

In individual results, Tate Williams placed 1st with 76, Harrison Center placed 2nd with 77, Tim Sparks placed 3rd with 77, Connor Chisum with 87, and Andrew Reichert with 90.

Varsity – Jay Brewer Tiger Classic

This match was played on October 8-9, 2021, at Texarkana CC.

Jesuit performed well in this competition, placing 3rd in 18 teams, with a score of 300/298/292-890.

In individual results, Reese Roberts placed 5th with 75/72/71-218, Ben DeLaRosa placed 96h with 73/76/72-221, AJ Adams placed 23rd with 77/78/73-228, Oliver Naumann placed 30th with 75/79/76-230, and Max Chan placed 55th with 83/72/90-245.

Varsity – Arlington Seguin Cougar Open

This match took place on October 12, 2021, at Tangle Ridge GC.

Jesuit performed extremely well in this competition, placing 1st in 10 teams, with a score of 309.

In individual results, Sean Mello placed 3rd with 75, William Jackson placed 4th with 75, Zac Crosby placed 5th with 76, Harrison Carter(Ind) placed 7th with 78, Josh Estes with 83, and Michael Lohner with 84.

Junior Varsity – FM Jaguar Invitational

This match occurred on October 19, 2021, at Tour 18 GC.

Jesuit performed well at this tournament as well, placing 4th out of 15 teams with a score of 345.

In individual results, Harrison Carter placed 4th with 78, Tate Williams with 86, Tim Sparks with 90, Connor Chisum with 91, and Andrew Reichert with 105.

Varsity – Lanny Wadkins Challenge

Finally, this tournament took place on October 29-30 at Texas Star GC.

Jesuit also performed well at this competition, with the Jesuit Gold team placing 4th and the Jesuit Blue team placing 15th out of the 18 teams with a score of 314/295-609 and 331/329-600.

In individual results, Ben DeLaRosa placed 10th with 78/71-149, Nicholas Norris 22nd with 80/74-154, Sean Mello 22nd with 77/77-154, Oliver Naumann 30th with 78/77-155, Max Chan and Reese Roberts 36th with 84/72-156 and 81/75-156, respectively, Michael Lohner 61st with 80/83-163, William Jackson 75th with 85/87-172, and Josh Esters 83rd with 86/92-180.

Coach Marino Interview

Coach Marino said that “October was a very busy month for Jesuit Golf with five tournaments. The team did a great job with a JV win, a Varsity win, and a good 3rd place Varsity finish at the highly competitive Jay Brewer Classic in Texarkana. We have one tournament left this fall next Wednesday. It was a rescheduled tournament from November 3rd.”
