Gabriel Farrell – Ranger of the Week

-

Farrell dropped a 10-5 decision to Checotah’s Landon Degman in the quarterfinal before getting back on track with a second period pin of San Antonio Roosevelt’s Victor Mejia. The junior added a first period pin in the third consolation round against Damarious Peters of Dallas Carter before a hard-fought win over district foe Andrew Nixon from Lake Highlands.

Trailing late in the match, Farrell fought back to force a sudden victory period before scoring a takedown in the extra session to advance with a 6-4 victory. The junior concluded his impressive run with a 2-1 decision victory against McKinney North’s Alex Evans to wrap the tournament in third place.
