Saving God’s Children A Mile at a Time

-

On January 16th, thousands of generous people gathered in Dallas for a pro-life rally in hopes of saving all of God’s children.

In Dallas,  North Texans came together to, as the organization said, “Speak LIFE to this present darkness.” This year’s Roe Memorial Mass took place at the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center in downtown Dallas with thousands in attendance to celebrate the Mass with Bishops Kevin Farrell and Douglas Deshotel and many other diocesan priests, deacons and seminarians. Thousands of North Texans not only attended the righteous rally but also met many members of the Jesuits as well. Ms. O’Neal even attended the rally hoping to see a “greater turnout next year” and commented on the mass saying it was, “moving and emotional.”

Before the Mass, nearly 300 people prayed at the Roe Memorial Rosaries outside abortion centers Rally for Lifeand Planned Parenthood centers. Fr. Jay Hooks S.J. commented that it was a “great rally” and he would “love to go next year.”

To end the walk, Bishop Farrell shared his words of wisdom for everyone who is committed to the battle for life, followed by youth and young adult speakers such as Mariana Schroeder who addressed the Spanish-speaking attendees, national evangelical leader Dr. Tony Evans of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship, and also former abortion worker Jewels Green who shared her harrowing journey of leaving the industry and finding healing after her own abortion.  Tati Martinez of Christ for the Nations Ya Basta group closed the rally with a heartfelt prayer.

Many Jesuit families attended this rally and walked to support pro-life ideals. Fr. Jay Hooks S.J said that many speeches were “moving and, in fact, inspiring.”  The rally was a wonderful event with fantastic participation that supports the ideas and beliefs of the Catholic Church.
