Pre-Game Tailgate Party on Ranger Day

-

With the excitement of Ranger Day filling the air on November 2, Jesuit wants to celebrate the Homecoming game with a pre-game tailgate party. This tailgate, which will be held in the parking lot from 5:30-7:30, will provide students, parents, and alumni with multiple activities and food choices.

In past years, Peggy Sue’s Barbecue has provided a barbecue dinner in the cafeteria, but Jesuit decided this year to bring three food trucks to the tailgate party: Pizza by Paulo, barbecue from Katy Trail Ice House, and a burger/hotdog truck. Refreshments and snow cones will also be sold. Clement Njoku ’15 said he is “excited and ready for some good food!”

Other activities at the tailgate include face painting, live music, a bounce house, and a separate section of the event for students. Jesuit photographers will also be present to take “fun, candid pictures of the students,” says Cindy Young of the Finance Office.

One admission ticket costs $6, and will fund Jesuit Athletics to maintain our teams for years to come. Corner Bubba Chavez ’13 spoke for the football team, saying, “It really pumps us up when we see a big gathering of people out there and we can’t wait to compete for them.”
