March Madness Winner!

-

After all the upsets of this year’s March Madness Tournament it should come as no surprise that a freshman would come away with the 1st Annual Roundup Bracket Challenge title.

John Turner is this year’s champion after correctly picking UCONN to win it all. Turner beat fellow freshman Andrew Pott by 50 points even after correctly picking only one Final Four team. John’s only successful Final Four pick was UCONN after also picking Syracuse, Pittsburgh, and Kansas, who he had meeting UCONN in the finals. John said he went with UCONN because, “They had won 9 straight games including the whole Big East tournament coming in and I figured they were too hot to lose.” He also added, “I doubted my pick at first and nearly put Arizona into the Final Four over UCONN.” Turner earns mass bragging rights, a reputation as a basketball genius, and most importantly a Chick-fil-A gift card, as Turner himself proved by saying, “It feels good to win, but it feels great knowing I don’t have to pay for my next meal at Chick-fil-A.”
