Dressed up and ready to celebrate, our Upperclassmen were excited for their prom. This year it fell on the 13th of April. The Jesuit-Ursuline prom was packed with over one hundred tables, each having ten attendees. This event is the last dance for our seniors, and one of their last major social events with school, making it a bittersweet moment. Prom was hosted at the World Trade Center, a large multi-storied venue that also acts as a market for artisan goods.
“It was a lot of fun and i can’t wait to go again next year” – Luke deshotels ’25
Prom is one of the few times in a year multiple classes from Jesuit and Ursuline intertwine, its a great opportunity to both meet new people but also to catch up with those you haven’t seen in a while, a sentiment that was definitely present and appreciated this year. Not just students from Jesuit and Ursuline are present though, dates and guests come from schools all across the metroplex.
“I loved being able to see and meet a lot of people who I haven’t seen in a while” – William Burns ’25
Every year, before major events we are reminded of our expectations and reputation as Jesuit students. So, the stakes were high for student performance and behaviour, and we lived up to it, as Dr. Knize remarked
“A+ Performance”
A special thanks to Mrs. Bruce, Dr. Knize, Mr. Hanley and Mr. Howard for helping to organise the event and to other faculty members chaperoning or working behind the scenes.
