On Tuesday,

Students were encouraged to wear yellow as a sign of mental health awareness and to write why they are wearing yellow. Hope Squad members passed out yellow beads outside the cafeteria

Hope Squad students acted and produced a brief informational video about mental health in teens. Hope Squad members had a retreat to learn more about mental health prevention.

On Friday,

Hope Squad hosted a school-wide hope walk at Postel Stadium. Students were encouraged to come down to Postel Stadium and take a lap with their fellow peers. Students were asked to disconnect from their phones and walk with someone they haven’t met yet this year.

The first Hope Week was meet with great success, as students had the opportunity to come together and learn more about mental health awareness and prevention.
