McKinney Boyd from February 17-18 hosted the Jesuit Ranger’s track team at Ron Poe Stadium in their first local meet.

The most notable of finishes was the Ranger relay team, composed of Caden Cutchall ’24, Ben McKinney ’23, Henry Beckman ’24, and Charlie Thornton ’24 who broke the previous record of 8:05.5 to 8:02.88. They would run on to win the 4×800 relay race.

Another notable finish was from Freshman Jesse Jenkins who finished third in his first varsity meet, hopping above the 13-foot bar. He ended the meet with a hard-fought third-place finished.

Junior Rodrigo Navarro set a new personal record, clearing the 5-10 bar and placing fourth in the high jump category.

Lastly, Senior Jameson kemp, in the shot put, placed eighth with a 42-0 throw and Senior Charlie Humbert finished sixth in the 300-meter hurdles at 43.14

The Ranger’s next meet will be this weekend, February 24th, at the Allen Eagle Relays at the Lowery Freshman Center.
