Similarly to the Jesuit JV Football Team, the Freshman have been dominating on all fronts. Recently, on October 13th, the Jesuit Freshman football teams settled back into the relaxing, familiar environment of the Jesuit field. In a battle against J.J. Pearce, the Gold and Blue team’s fought hard, and emerged from the field of battle victorious, with the Gold team crushing 37-13, and the Blue 28-0.

Coach Wunderlick, the head Freshman football coach, commented, “I’m very satisfied with the Gold team’s play, their offense has been working well together, with the line opening up gaps for the run game, and the receivers making good runs, I don’t see the offense being slowed down anytime soon. The defense on the other hand has been playing great as well. We have win our past few games in large part because of the Gold team’s defense stopping runs and preventing receptions. We did let them put up 13 points, but they were little miscommunication errors, nothing to be worried about. I’m sure the Gold team will continue to play great, and the past games certainly reflect this prediction.”

“The Blue team continues to play phenomenally. The rest of the coaching staff and I have been especially impressed with the Blue team’s defense. They continually shut out other team’s, which gives the offense plenty of time to put up some points. Just like in the game against Pierce. The defense prevented all td’s and field goals which allowed for the offense to put up 4 touchdowns. The offense has played great as well, passing and running wise. Overall both teams played great, and had something to show for it.”

Nothing like a couple of fantastic freshman football games to hype up the Jesuit community! Way to go boys, keep pulling out the W’s!
