Monitoring the Candlestick Charts, the Jesuit student eagerly awaits the perfect time to buy into the market. His lump sum of $1 million in fictitious cash ready to win him the competition.
The Finance and Investing Club focuses on developing students’ knowledge on key life skills in a fun and engaging way through stock market games and guest meetings. This club is cofounded by Conlan Diamond ’22, Quinn Diamond ’22, and Jack DeGroote ’22. Moderated by Mr. Randy Dam, the club seeks to teach the principles of both finance and investment.
Stock Market Challenge
The club will host a free stock market game beginning February 6th where each student begins with $1 million fake dollars. Club members will compete to see who comes out on top at the end of May. This friendly competition allows students to dabble with different investing strategies and learn more about the market. Prizes will be given out to the top performers of the competition. Everyone is welcome to join.
Guest Meetings
Guests will come to the meetings from all over the country to teach basic principles on a variety of topics. Areas of expertise could include investment banking, finance, brokering, etc. These meetings will provide key insights into a wide variety of topics regarding the world of Wall Street.
