The second Thank a Donor Day was held on November 9, 2023. Hundreds of students, faculty, and staff participated in the event, where they wrote thank you notes to donors and learned more about their impact on Jesuit Dallas. Philanthropy has a significant influence on the lives of Jesuit Rangers every day, everywhere, and this event was an opportunity for the Jesuit Dallas campus to celebrate the generosity of its donors and their impact. The day was filled with gratitude as thankful Rangers sent messages of appreciation to donors and learned about the importance of philanthropy in their campus community.

Recap of Thank a Donor Day

Chelsea Hafertepe, the Manager of Stewardship and Donor Relations at Jesuit, expressed her pride in being a member of a community that values the importance of educating students about gratitude. It is rewarding to see more people from the community getting involved in advocating for this special day and educating students.

Last year, we completed 561 postcards. With the help of counselors, faculty, student volunteers, and our wonderful students we were able to complete 814 thank you postcards this year. We will be able to thank 253 more donors this year thanks to this community effort. These thank you notes will be mailed to our donors to show our appreciation for their investment in Jesuit Dallas. The students also took photos with gratitude signs and shared video testimonials expressing what a donor’s gift to Jesuit meant to them personally.

The hallways were filled with high energy from the students. When a student completed a thank you note, they received a Did you Know document filled with Jesuit philanthropy facts specifically tied around alumni giving. The students were in awe as they learned these impressive facts.

Alumni Phonathon

This was a great way to kick off our Alumni Phonathon efforts. Alumni Phonathon call nights took place this week. We had over 120 alumni on campus making calls to seek support from their Jesuit brothers. As of Wednesday, November 15th, the alumni Phonathon has raised $1,125,000.

Thank you to the Jesuit Dallas community for making this a memorable day on campus! Stay tuned to the Jesuit Roundup for more school news!
