Sophomore Bruno Brenes '15 has found a way to turn paper into water. No, he's not a Hogwarts wizard performing transfiguration spells. He's something even better---an Origami Master. A few months ago, Brenes started up Jesuit's first origami club. Prior to this, he had been working for the Paper for Water charity, an organization that creates and sells origami to...
When football, baseball, or football season ends, athletes work hard in off-season training to hone their talents and prepare for the next season. They can focus more on their individual strengths and weaknesses and refine their skills in order to better perform when they join with the team again. Similarly, band members must take time to practice individually, and train...

A certain number of kids at Jesuit can play for the school squad, but what about the rest? How can they participate in the game that they love? The answer consists of two...
Unfortunately, the Jesuit Rangers football team lost in the third round of the playoffs last week. Though obviously a heart-wrenching defeat for the team, the loss was also a disappointment to cheerleaders, band members, Rangerettes, and Lone Rangers, especially seniors. For the Jesuit Ursuline Ranger Band (JURB), the loss was met with a bittersweet attitude. Despite the fact that it...
Two weeks of band camp in the summer. Five 7 a.m. rehearsals each week. Private lessons. Pass-offs. After-school sectionals. The Jesuit Ursuline Ranger Band (JURB) has been busy preparing for their two October marching contests at Little Elm Athletic Complex and Legacy Christian Academy.  The Little Elm Classic on the Lake took place on Oct. 12. Jesuit has participated for...
"BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP," goes the alarm of junior Garrett Amy '15 at 6 a.m. as he wakes up for varsity football practice. After the tough practice he heads to school for the day, trudging through an AP U.S. History test and Honors Pre-Calculus quiz. He attends an Interact meeting and Student Council meeting during lunch, and works on...
