How Bout Them Cowboys? 😡

-

This might be my last Cowboy-related article for a while. After that loss against the 49ers on Sunday night, it just rips every motivation to write about this appalling team. The Cowboys lost against the 49ers in the divisional round on Sunday (1/22/23), against their long-time 49ers 19-12. This loss was especially brutal, seeing this is the 2nd time losing to the 49ers in a row. End the fact that the Cowboys had a good chance of making the Super Bowl this year if they could get it all together. But of course, the Cowboys could not get everything together, just like the 9 other times we have been in the playoffs.

My Rant

Honestly, I can not care to want any of these fake sport tv personalities could be saying about the Cowboys on their little tv shows. I do not care if Zeke will be willing to take a pay cut, I do not care if Dak should be let go, and I do not care whose fault it is for the loss against the 49ers. It does not matter because, in the end, nothing will change, and we will repeat. Next season will probably be the same as this year, and we will make the playoffs and then disappoint. It is the Cowboy way. It’s a lifestyle at this point to be disappointed, Cowboy fans have become numb to the feeling, but it can still hurt at times, and hurt it does.

Do you know what the problem is with the Cowboys? Because it’s with Dak, the kicker, or the coaching staff. The real issues are with our owner and the culture he has brought to the Cowboys. The Cowboys are, at this point, one big reality show, and the owner of Cowboys is the main character of it all. The only thing Jerry is good at with the Cowboys is constantly making the Cowboy’s the most valuable team in the world. Well, that makes us the greatest sports dynasty, with the 17th consecutive year of the Cowboys being the most valuable team ever. The Cowboy’s problems start at the top, with the top making our culture, and our culture is not a good one.

Does Jerry Jones look like a villian having a teleconference with world leaders going over his extremely elaborate plan for domination from his evil lair? : r/DanLeBatardShow
Picture of the Cowboy’s owner on his superyacht, during the draft. Like that of an evil Bond villain

Conclusion

To close up this article, it is a dark time to be a Cowboy fan, but since the 1990s, it has been like that. Will the Cowboys change? As long as we have our current owner, things will likely never change. I am sure the Cowboys will be good next year, as much as all these tv personalities will say no. I am tired of writing about the Cowboys. Covering this team is depressing and demoralizing; they are like a virus. I will probably write about the Mavericks or golf.

Sincerely, Austin Keith
