The start of every new school year comes with an end to summer and the start of an even better season, football season. Throughout most of the summer though it seemed there would be no season, but finally the greedy owners and players agreed to terms at the last second, starting  a free agent frenzy which led to possibly the most exciting offseason ever. With all the changes teams have made it seems nearly impossible to predict what will happen this season, but, nevertheless, here are my predictions.

MVP

Aaron Rodgers- After leading the Packers to a Super Bowl as the 6th seed in the playoffs, Rodgers has the experience and composure to have his best season yet. It’s hard to see his numbers decreasing at all with the addition of WR Randall Cobb in the draft and TE JerMichael Finley, who is back from injury.

Defensive Play of the Year (DPOY)

Darrelle Revis- Without the distractions of his contract and a full training camp under his belt this year Darrelle Revis may really step up as the game’s best defensive player, if he isn’t already.

Offensive Rookie of the Year

Julio Jones- The addition of Jones boosts Atlanta’s offense big time and makes it nearly impossible for them to be stopped. Jones will get a lot of receptions since other teams will have to worry about more Roddy White and Tony Gonzalez.

Defensive Rookie of the Year

Patrick Peterson- The young corner showed his talent right from the start by getting a pick 6 off Phillip Rivers on the first play of his career. His knack for finding the ball and playing in a division with Alex Smith, Tarvaris Jackson, and the young Sam Bradford as his opposing QBs should make it easy for him to have a great rookie season.
